Rene is a dedicated attorney who is passionate about helping people through the maze of the law especially in the areas of estate planning, estate settlement including probate, guardian/conservatorships and business law. Rene is the owner of Millner Estate Planning, LLC. She moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in 2000. When not working, Rene enjoys spending time with her husband Steve of 27 years and their three children. Grateful for the gifts she has been given, she enjoys being active and giving back to the community.

Education and Credentials
Rene is a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN who completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota, Morris with degrees in Economics and Management. Prior to opening Millner Estate Planning, LLC, Rene was an attorney with Breen and Person, Ltd. Before taking the leap to make the Brainerd Lakes Area her home, she worked as a Tax Consultant for the accounting firm of Ernst & Young in Minneapolis.
Community Involvement
Outside of her legal practice, Rene is actively involved in the community.
Rene is a past Board Chair and member of the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation. She was the past president and member of the North Country Networkers in Pequot Lakes, MN. She is the past president and vice president of the Crosslake Lutheran Church Council, member of the Crosslake Lutheran Endowment Committee and Personnel Committee. She is a graduate of the Brainerd Lakes Area Chamber Blue Ox Leadership Experience.
You will find her out in the community sharing her experience and teaching whenever she can. Rene was a member of the Crosslake Chamber Advisory Board, participates annually in the Crosslake Cares Senior Expo and previously wrote articles for the Northland Press. While her children were in school, she enjoyed acting as treasurer for the Pequot Lakes PTA and instructor for the third-grade classes for the Brainerd Lakes Junior Achievement Organization.
